Our many services include nuclear stress testing in our nationally accredited Nuclear Medicine Department, echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds in our nationally accredited ultrasound laboratories (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories(ICAVL),EECP, EKGs, and stress tests. Hospital procedures include coronary balloon angioplasty, stenting, and brachytherapy, as well as peripheral angioplasty (legs and kidneys).

Our newest area is the Electrophysiology Section of NBCG. This includes full service evaluation and insertion of pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as atrial and ventricular ablations. We also perform T Wave Alternans testing, a state of the art new screening test for determining the benefits of defibrillator therapy

Thank you for choosing the New Brunswick Cardiology Group.

The New Brunswick Cardiology Group is proud to announce early January, 2008 the addition of a new Physician Ross J. Goodfellow, D.O.

What Else is News?

The New Brunswick Cardiology Group has moved its Monroe office across the street to the spacious 111 Union Valley Road. This move doubled the size of this office and allows us to offer the following services in addition to consultations- echocardiography, nuclear and regular stress testing, and a fully accredited noninvasive vascular laboratory which is able to scan carotid arteries, kidney arteries, abdominal aortas for aneurysms, and legs and arms for vein and artery problems such as PAD and clots.

The History of New Brunswick Cardiology Group, P.A.

Dr. Anthony J. Passannante, Sr. and Dr. Paul B. Jennings founded the New Brunswick Cardiology Group, P.A. in 1972. Dr. Jennings left the practice approximately five years later to become full-time Chief of the Department of Medicine and Director of the Division of Cardiology at St. Peter’s University Hospital. Dr. Passannante, Sr. subsequently founded and currently heads our Department of Nuclear Cardiology.

In 1986, Dr. Passannante, Jr. joined the practice, followed shortly thereafter by Dr. Dorazio. In 1990, Dr. Stroh brought his Coronary Interventional skills to NBCG, which were subsequently augmented by Dr. Singal who is also in charge of the Peripheral Noninvasive and Invasive Laboratories of the practice. Drs. Kulkarni, Gladstone, and Kukafka joined NBCG in the years that followed bringing skills in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. More recently, Dr. Patel has augmented our interventional cardiovascular skills and Dr. Gowda has added a whole new section of Cardiac Electrophysiology.

At the present time NBCG is a ten-physician cardiology specialty practice. We offer comprehensive cardiac care including office and hospital consultations, cardiac catherization, percutaneous coronary angioplasty, the placement of cardiac stents, peripheral vascular stents and angioplasty, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP), echocardiography, and related cardiovascular sonographic testing. We also provide electrophysiological evaluation, as well as pacemakers, defibrillators, and atrial and supraventricular arrhythmia ablation.
