INNOVATIVE TREATMENTS

We provide exciting new therapies for patients suffering from diabetes mellitus. Many of our patients can take advantage of highly effective alternatives to bypass surgery. These treatments relieve claudication symptoms, assist in healing foot ulcers and help patients avoid major surgery and amputations. We successfully treat patients who have previously not responded to most surgical procedures.

At New Brunswick Cardiology Group we are proud of our Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) program for detecting, managing and treating these patients. Techniques used to diagnose PVD include a medical history, physical exam, ultrasound, X-ray angiography and magnetic resonance imaging angiography (MRA). If PVD is diagnosed, our specialists will help you plan a course of treatment that may include lifestyle changes, medications or both. In a minority of patients, lifestyle modifications alone aren't sufficient. In these cases, angioplasty or surgery may be necessary. In those instances our cardiovascular interventionalists will perform the procedure using the most minimally invasive methods available.
